PRORUN X1: Runnability Solution for Low-Speed Paper Machines

When discussing the runnability of paper in the drying section, we often focus on high-speed machines and complex solutions. However, we can categorize runnability into three main types: low-speed paper machines (up to 600-700 m/min), mid-speed machines (up to 1100 m/min), and high-speed machines (up to 2000 m/min).

Runnability suppliers are using two primary principles govern the creation of the underpressure needed to keep the paper on the fabric, ensuring optimal runnability. While runnability devices offer numerous benefits, they often don’t receive the attention they deserve compared to other components of paper machines. It’s clear that without effective runnability devices, achieving optimal and efficient production becomes challenging. The market is filled with various runnability solutions, and only responsible suppliers are dedicated to developing the best options available.

Recently, however, we’ve noticed a decline in innovation and the number of new developments in this area. Publications and new solutions have significantly decreased.

To stimulate progress among runnability suppliers, we are organizing “Open Teams Seminar: Enhancing the Runnability of Paper Machines” aimed at revitalizing runnability development, enhancing the efficiency of paper machines, and emphasizing the importance of regular maintenance as part of paper makers’ responsibilities.

Runnability solutions shouldn’t be limited to high-speed machines; low-speed paper machines also deserve effective solutions to enhance their performance. We are excited to introduce the improved “ProRun X1” for low-speed paper machines. This solution offers improved tail threading control, easier maintenance of boxes in both static and dynamic conditions, straightforward installation and removal for cleaning, a simple design, and an affordable price.

Runnability Interesting!
